Sharon Goldner, Certified Holistic Health Counselor Sharon has recently moved her counseling practice, Recipe for a Healthy Life, to the Bikram Yoga Westfield (BYW) studio. She is partnering with BYW to motivate individuals to improve their diet and overall health. Sharon makes the connection between food, mind and body so that individuals can easily understand their path to health and vitality.

After healing herself from chronic low energy, addictions to sugar and caffeine, and supporting her family through food allergies and illness, Sharon is passionate about educating and motivating others to take control of their health and happiness. Sharon has spent all of her adult life experimenting with different diets, and studying food and health and later training as a chef and health counselor. She is committed to helping everyone create their own recipe for a healthy life.

Counseling Mission:

As a Holistic Health Counselor, I am your personal advocate for living a healthy and fulfilling life. Whether you are looking to lose weight, sleep better, increase your energy, improve the health of the whole family, or manage eating at work or on the go, I can be your source of accountability and support for reaching your goals.

A truly holistic approach to life incorporates all that nourishes you in addition to food, such as fulfilling relationships, activities that re-energize you, a career that inspires you and physical activity that you enjoy. My intention is to help you optimize how you feed your body and your soul.

Educational Background:

Sharon trained as a Holistic Health Counselor at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City, and is certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and Columbia University Teacher’s College. Her training as a Vegetarian Chef at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts in New York City enables her to work with clients in a fun and practical way as they create a realistic eating plan. Sharon also earned an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, is an avid reader and swimmer, and enjoys special family dinners when her daughters are home from college.

Individual and Group Programs:

BYW members are invited to make an appointment with Sharon for a 30-minute complimentary consultation to discuss their diet, health concerns and goals, and to experience support and guidance in making lasting and meaningful changes in their life. Wellness Workshops:

Sharon is a frequent speaker for both corporate and not-for-profit groups and will be offering ongoing Wellness Workshops in the BYW lobby. Her message empowers and inspires participants to improve their food choices and the quality of their lives. She presents the information in a light and interesting way, using a lot of visual tools that everyone can clearly understand. She draws on her participants’ experiences to demonstrate that health issues are real and personal, but without judgment. No matter what someone‘s knowledge is before a workshop, afterwards they walk away feeling more enlightened and motivated.
